ABOUT US

IT DOESN'T TAKE LONG TO FEEL PART OF SOMETHING SPECIAL

Surbiton Golf Club is renowned for its inclusive and friendly membership across all age groups, with a comfortable, relaxed club atmosphere offering both social and highly competitive golf with many competitions and inter-club matches. We also have both a thriving Junior programme and Adult Academy, so we have something for everyone.

MUTUAL COMMITMENT

We have a simple philosophy – we want to create the perfect environment for playing competitive golf in a social and inclusive atmosphere on a well-presented golf course.

As a result, the club is run by elected members who run our management and finances to ensure that we make this goal possible. It means we have a long-term vision for the club and the course. It is for this reason that we continue to request an entrance fee. This brings a mutual commitment from the member and the club. The member commits to staying with us and the club commits to investing every year to deliver improvements to members.

COMPETITIVE AND FUN GOLF

The Surrey club and course are perfectly set up for people who love playing competitive golf and have fun doing it. Club competitions are played throughout the year for singles and pairs. The club also competes in a variety of local leagues and has an active series of 'friendly' matches against other Surrey golf clubs.

Our twice monthly qualifying competitions often get over 150 members playing, and this includes several mixed qualifying competitions. We have very active participation from Juniors to Seniors, which include our popular roll-ups throughout the week. Not to mention our fun competitions on bank holidays and other special days, that may not promise a major trophy, but are nonetheless hotly contested.

One of the many highlights of the golfing calendar is the annual Pro-Am which attracts professionals from across the region. During the summer months we also have numerous competitions including both the Ladies and Mixed Opens, Charity, Professional’s and also Captains' Day competitions.

CHARITIES AND COMMUNITY

The club ‘feel’ also embraces the community with a very active charity programme that raises significant sums of money each year. Every summer the club hosts a fun day in aid of the Captains’ charities. This combines golf, food and entertainment while raising money and awareness for a good cause.

This year the Captains' chosen charity is Shooting Star Children's Hospices.
